Burlington Aggregates Ltd started as a partnership between Neil Price Construction Services and Burlington Stone in 2014, linking the two companies’ expertise in logistics and quarrying, with the extensive mineral reserves of the latter’s parent company, the Holker Group. Now Burlington has moved to become sole owners of the business and looks to further develop the company’s reputation for manufacture and distribution of high quality ready-mix concrete, decorative and construction aggregates.
Based in Barrow-in-Furness, Burlington Aggregates operate from our newly installed, purpose built sales office at Goldmire Quarry, which also serves as a base for our haulage fleet. Furthermore, we have a modern in-house testing laboratory based at our Kirkby Quarry, used for aggregate gradings, concrete cube sampling and crushing and new product development. In addition to Kirkby and Goldmire, the company also operates from from Elterwater, Roose and Broughton Moor, all based in Cumbria.

Burlington’s aggregates are a pure British material, which has been formed deep within the Cumbrian Fells. The slate from Kirkby and Elterwater have formed some 420 million years ago, with the limestone from Goldmire some 330 million years ago. The pure Lakeland water, natural weathering and mineral processes have slowly transformed the stone over the millions of years, lending it unique technical properties.

Additionally, our modern fleet of HGVs are available for general haulage hire or inert waste disposal. In addition to being able to supply an extensive product range throughout the UK, Burlington Aggregates are also able to offer local south Cumbrian construction companies access to an unrivalled portfolio of construction aggregates through its quarries at Kirkby, Elterwater, Goldmire, Roose and Broughton Moor.
Depending upon your location, Burlington Aggregates offers a number of solutions, either allowing for customers to collect their order themselves, arrange for the product to be collected or by arranging for Burlington Aggregates to deliver to yourselves. Using our own haulage vehicles and agreements with local and national hauliers, Burlington Aggregates are able to supply their product proposition anywhere within the UK.
