Burlington Aggregates

Burlington’s aggregates are a pure British material, which have been formed deep within the Cumbrian Fells. The slate from Kirkby and Elterwater were formed some 420 million years ago, with the limestone from Goldmire some 330 million years ago. The pure Lakeland water, natural weathering and mineral processes have slowly transformed the stone over the millions of years, lending it unique technical properties.

Burlington Aggregates provide a comprehensive package of products and services that will include decorative and construction aggregates, sand, recycled materials and other associated products and services to customers throughout the UK.

The business brings together the aggregate processing and logistics expertise of Neil Price Construction Services and the sand, limestone, and slate quarries of Burlington Slate Ltd, to enable the cost effective and efficient manufacture and distribution of construction and decorative aggregates both locally and nationally.

We are able to offer local south Cumbria construction companies access to an unrivalled portfolio of aggregates through its distribution hubs at Goldmire in Barrow-in-Furness, Kirkby, and Elterwater. Burlington Aggregates Ltd holds the ‘South Lakes area’ only active quarries for sand at Roose, and slate aggregates at Kirkby and Elterwater, as well as it’s two limestone quarries at Goldmire and Baycliff (Ulverston), plus a recycling aggregate facility with an inert land fill.
